Superintendent Ron Taverner says the shooting occurred at an outdoor birthday party for a one-year-old.

Toronto's mayor is urging anyone who witnessed a brazen, daylight shooting at a child's birthday party in Rexdale that left four people, including three children, injured on Saturday night to come forward and speak to police.

While the police did not elaborate on the condition of the injured people, local media outlet City News reported that one child was in a life-threatening condition, another had serious injuries, along with the adult male.

A one-year-old boy was grazed by a bullet, while a five-year-old girl, 11-year-old boy and 23-year-old man were also wounded, said Toronto Police Supt.

As of Sunday morning, there was no update on the condition of the other victims.

"I really, really hope in this case, so we can bring these people to justice and apply the full weight of the law, that people who were around there or there who saw something. they will confide in the police or in Crime Stoppers so we can track these people down and deal with them", Tory said. They have since clarified and said a fifth person was assessed on the scene, but was never transported.

Taverner said police are working on the descriptions of the suspects, but can not provide anything concrete at this time.

The shooter or shooters fled the scene in a vehicle.

Taverner said they are working on the descriptions of the suspects, but can not provide anything concrete at this time.

Three children and a man were shot at a one-year-old's birthday party.

Skinner said the children were not the targets of the shooting.

"There's nothing more brazen than children outside at a gathering and this kind of violence happening", she said. "We absolutely need your help, so please call 23 Division at 416-808-2300 if you have any information that you can provide to help us catch these suspects".

"This is a shocking and outrageous act of gun violence that comes amidst the work Toronto Police and the City have been doing that has led to a decline in shootings over the previous year", he said.
