Netflix has set a November 10, 2020 premiere date.

Netflix has released the official trailer for the upcoming holiday rom-com series Dash & Lily starring Austin Abrams (Paper Towns) and Midori Francis (Good Boys). The pair communicate by exchanging a "book of dares" containing dares and clues about their identity. The series co-stars Dante Brown as Boomer and Troy Iwata as Langston. Joe Tracz created the television adaptation and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Production on the series will begin in NY with the series set to premiere in 2020. It was the way the book captured the spirit of the city - the sense of possibility tinged with loneliness, and the way they both seem to magnify around the holidays. We see the start of Dash and Lily's romance via the red-bound notebook they exchange, as well as the city's holiday delights in all their glory from the homey vibes of the Strand to the explosion of Christmas at the 34th Street Macy's to the various trees, ice rinks, and lights dotting the landscape. "However, as a year of absurd celebrations come to an end, Sloane and Jackson find that sharing everything they hate may just prove to be something they unexpectedly love".

Like Lily, I've always been a believer in love, and in the power of love stories to inspire and uplift.

But alas, he takes on a more cynical view of the holiday season than Lily: "You asked how this time of year makes me I know you'll understand when I say..."

There's definitely a bittersweetness to knowing that a New York Christmas show like this captures a totally different moment in history than the one we're now living through, and for many, I suspect that curling up and watching this show will be the closest they get to a NYC holiday vacation this year.
